I don’t actually believe that people don’t have time for a spa day.I think there’s just so many now that people are spoiled for choice, and the Sanctuary brand has now become SO synonymous with Boots that it kind of lost some of its luxury appeal. I think Champneys are in danger of going the same way, especially with entire ‘Energising Lime’ days where you can sample the whole range – if you can use the exact same products with the spa branding at home, why go to a spa in the first place?

    I love The Sanctuary – it was the first day spa I ever went to. It’s a real shame they have decided to take this decision, IMO.

  2. I agree with you, Positive Sarah — it is sad to see this space leave London, for whatever reason.
